Who is this item for: The lightweight 2-piston caliper in the BR-M6100 makes it an excellent choice for XC and Trail bikes.
How many pistons: The BR-M6100 has a 2-piston caliper.
Material: Anodised aluminium brake lever and painted aluminium master cylinder and caliper.
Adjustment: The lever has tooled reach adjustment (via Allen key).
Brake Type/Fluid: Shimano brakes use mineral oil.
Which Pads: The brakes are shipped with Shimano J03A resin – organic, aluminium backed pads. They are also compatible with J series finned pads.
Mount: The brakes levers are I-Spec EV compatible so they can be cleanly matched with latest model Shimano shifters and various aftermarket dropper post remotes.
